This triathlon was born from the common desire among
Mr. Nicolas DE CHALAIN, Hotel Manager "La Pirogue" and
Mr. Lilian Ruet, Director of the company Helios Destinations, to create a sporting event out of the ordinary to discover this unique island in the middle of the Indian Ocean.


One of the most beautiful lagoons in the world to host the swimming, roads created for cycling and trails crisscrossing a nature composed of fields of sugar cane, of a wonderful forest for the foot race. The hotel "The Dugout", which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful on the island,  will welcome you and will be at the center of the event.

All the ingredients are here for you to enjoy the colorful cocktail of the most exotic triathlon.

After 20 years of career as a triathlete, and after participating in numerous Ironman through the triathlon's planet, from Embrun to Hawaii, it seems to me quite logical to share my passion for this sport in an idyllic setting, between lush mountains and turquoise lagoons.

To participate in the organisation of this event fully motivates me, and joining Lilian Ruet's allows me to make a wish: to organize a long distance triathlon and promote our sport.

This triathlon is particurlaly important to me for several reasons.
This sport fascinates me, first of all because of the physical challenge, of mental strengh that every athlete must have, but also thanks to the atmosphere that usually prevails in the triathlon. For me as a former cyclist, when I discovered this island for the first time, I immediately wanted to get back to my bike, the road quality and the landscapes are impressive.
The experience of Eric Millard, who has just joined my team, is a real asset to this organization.
The collaboration with Nicolas Chalain, of all his staff in "La Pirogue", and Thomas Desvaux is for me the key to success. We will be able to make a first class service to all participants, they will just concentrate on the race and enjoy this paradise.
The athletes will also be able to share this event with their family because we are also putting in place a program for accompanying persons.

Although I am now retired from elite sport after 10 years spent on a mountain bike, my passion remains the same for this sport.
This is one of the reasons why I agreed to participate in organizing this event.
But also, after being a long distance triathlete a fwe years ago, being behind the scene is a huge challenge to me.
I'll be able to share my knowledge of the field to this organisation, who will be without a doubt the most beautiful race ever.
